Clinical case and treatment

The patient in question suffered a burn to his hand caused by a chemical agent, which caused the denaturation of tissue proteins in the affected area.

The main objective we set ourselves in the healing process was to limit the growth of microorganisms to prevent possible infections, as well as to promote the epithelialization of the wound.

In this superficial second degree burn, for a few days and in addition to washing the wound with soap and water Olivolea Bath Gel and once Licotriz® has been applied, we use gauze soaked in paraffin over the Licotriz to further protect the wound during the first few days.

In minor burns, to avoid scarring as much as possible, it is recommended to moisturize the burn area once it has re-epithelialized and treat the scar. With Licotriz® we also have the advantage of treating the area that is re-epithelializing from the beginning.

The result, as you can see in the attached images, was truly spectacular. Thanks to Licotriz®, not only was proper healing achieved, but we also provided the elasticity and hydration necessary to prevent the formation of keloids. In addition, Licotriz helped to unify the colour of the new tissue, making the scar practically invisible.
